I would also like to thank my parents who supported and encouraged me throughout this MTh, and my BD and also read and re-read this dissetation more times than is healthy.

I am grateful to the diocese of Bangor (Church in Wales), and of Leicester (Church of England), and Albins (newsagent) for helping finance my visit to India.
